Wow, I hope you expected a rebuttal. I was looking for alternatives to testing hardware with software. I indicated we use the QA+win32, but it doesn’t seem to be accurate. First response was memtest86. Nothing new here and only tests memory. Is this a complete alternative to QA? Later someone indicated ubcd which uses QA+win32.

My question states I’m using that and it doesn’t seem accurate. So how is use QA+win32 on ubcd an alternative to QA+win32? He has been around almost as long as I have, and has me sockered (I would be closer, but I was on dialup and limited to 2.5 hours a night for the first 5.5 years I was here) The top experts usually get pretty good at guessing what someone wants, but without some explict back and forth, sometimes we get it wrong. QA+win32 is not accurate, is there other software that does the same thing? So, it felt like I was be led away with frivolous questions and not getting an answer. Thus, it seemed to be a waste of my time. Only after 2 -3 emails warning me of an abandoned question, did I come back frustrated and canceled it. I did a little reading up on QA+win32, and the opinions were mixed. It seems to be similar to UBCD4Win, except it uses a proprietary program(s), and you have to pay for it I myself am not aware of another 'click it and leave it' diag program. Most of the Experts around here recommend/use UBCD or UBCD4Win. And a PCI diag card or just part swap, for dead systems.
